Hi - I’m Rich Sharpe, director of professional services at Enerjy, and I’m contributing to this blog because I believe that the practices I see in our company and out on our customer sites should be shared and discussed so they can be improved on continuously.
Before joining Enerjy I worked as a consultant in the Mobile Technology Group at Aspective in the UK. There, I worked on some great projects using cutting edge technologies from various sources/vendors including some dubious sounding early voice systems that sounded similar to old ‘B’ movie robots (remember the Cylons?!?).
Prior to this I worked for IBM and was part of the first ‘e-business’ group in the UK, developing in Java and working on early Websphere platforms.
I believe a big hole in the Quality area of the Software Development Industry is in tracking metrics as part of a feedback loop. Other established industries do this and product quality improves dramatically.
Oh, and I love to play golf where quality is paramount and tracking where you went wrong always leads to a better next round - hmmm :-P.
